For some reason my screen keeps flashin on n off during many of my phone calls. i thought mayhe it was because my cheek was right on the phone n therefore touch screen was activated. but even while i was on a phone call i made sure my cheek was not touching the screen n the same thing happened. anyone else experiencing this?

Re: Phone keeps flashing on and off during calls

Sounds like the proximity sensor. The TP2 has a proximity sensor that turns off the screen (to prevent accidental face dialing) when it is in a call and is close to your face. And when you pull it away from your face the sensor turns the screen back on so you can use the phone (e.g. to use the touch pad). If you hold the phone close to your face this works properly. If you hold the phone too far away from your face it turns the screen back on. So you if you move the phone around while you're on a call the screen turns on and off because of the proximity sensor.

The proximity sensor is next the the speaker grill. I believe its the right side. Just cover the entire speaker with your thumb while on a call and this should turn the screen off.

On the CDMA versions (Verizon, Sprint, etc.) it's on the left side in between the speaker grill and HTC logo (on GSM versions (AT&T, T-Mobile, etc it's on the right side in between the speaker grill and the carrier logo).
