Open Text messaging panel/widget??

I've seen it on the Pre and heard it was available for SPB MS 3.5, but I haven't found it. Basically it's a simple text panel which can be put on a scrollable screen (like in MS 3.5) and shows your recent texts, etc. Anybody heard of this or have a link? I have looked almost everywhere to no avail. Thanks.

Perhaps I'm not fully understanding what it is you're after, but have you tried a custom ROM running manilla 2.5 aka Sense UI?

Not Sense UI... There is a widget (seen it, can't find it anymore) that you can apply to SPB mobile shell, so that you have an "always open" text message panel, instead of having to go into a messaging application. I'm looking for the widget or any interface which supports this or something similar...
