Battery Charge Light Stays ON on custom roms even after power disconnect

Battery charge light stays on on new 6.5.1 roms even after power disconnect. Any way to fix this? Seems like battery drive is slow to respond.

on mine it will stay lit for a moment then go away

i am on a rom i cooked from calks kitchen and i get this as well. it stays on for maybe a minute or less, as well as the charging icon stays on, but then it switches back.

however i have also cooked some from ssk3.0 and have not encountered this problem at all
