Power screen off after inactivity.

After using various Palm phones for years I'm getting stuck on one aspect of Windows Mobile 6.5. It doesn't seem like my TP2 goes into standby mode or at least shut the screen off after a period of inactivity. My old Palm Centro would go into standby mode and close the screen after a minute or so of inactivity. Is there a setting or cab that will allow my TP2 to do the same? I keep forgetting to press the top button when I finish using the phone and it seems like it stays on indefinitely. Real battery waster.
Sorry for the noob question. Couldn't find and answers after searching the forums.

settings/system/battery
change the settings on dim backlight on battery power and external power as you see fit.

Re: Power screen off after inactivity.

Thanks gmaine02. It looks like the shortest setting I can set the device to turn off is 1 minute on battery power. Seems like an eternity.
Anyways, I'm learning a lot on these forums and would like to thank everyone who participates in them for all the knowledge they share.

Mine just opposite. The unit power screen off, go to hibernate while I am still running some programs like SPB Radio, express talk, etc. I have to pull out the stylus to activate the unit so that I can resume to use the program. Then after a couple of minutes, same thing will happen again. Could you know how to solve the problem?

yeah 1 min does seem forever but you get used to it. on 6.1 you could set it to 30 seconds. i used to change the reg key to get it to be 30 seconds on 6.5. but i got sick and tired of changing the reg key when it was changed by an application.
