First Broken TP2 :(
I noticed a couple days ago that my screen looked like it had a little oil spill inside, but took no concern because it still worked.
When I woke up today the entire screen was covered with that oil spill look and is completely broken. I think I have only one advance exchange left. Two questions? Is this consider my fault and I have to pay $100 deductible? OR Can sprint fix this free through my insurance? |
Re: First Broken TP2 :(
Normally if its physical damage you will have to pay asurion $100 deductible to get a replacement. I think your best bet is try a Sprint repair center first. You can also try an authorized one (not a sprint store). Go to sprint.com and do locate a store and chose repair. It will list all repair centers....Sprint or non Sprint stores. Gluck!

Re: First Broken TP2 :(
Yeah I guess it wouldn't hurt to try the service center first?
Is there a re-locker for the TP2 yet? |
Re: First Broken TP2 :(
I don't know about the (TILT2) TP2 , and hopefully I wont ever have too, but on my Tilt one I replaced the screen myself, and it only cost me $35 off of ebay. Hope this helps

Re: First Broken TP2 :(
they should repair it for you at a service center...this is a documented issue and if you have TEP you should be fine...I would definitely try that before Asurion...why should you pay $100 for a device defect you did not cause? Unless your phone fell in a vat of hot oil, I don't know what you could have done to get oil under the screen yourself...

Re: First Broken TP2 :(
I have TEP.
I dont know if it is actually oil, but it just looks like it. Sure I have dropped the phone, but the screen isn't actually cracked or anything. It looks fine, so I could probably get away with them fixing it. The only thing is I don't want to have to use my last advance exchange. |
