Can anyone enlighten me on flashing different carrier firmwares
 

I recently looked at a post entailing woes from switching carriers firmwares. I am on Sprint, lets say I would want to "Pretend" to be on Verizon. What would that all entail? Also, what would the benefits of this change be?

I assume you'd flash VZW stock rom and radio, anything else?

u dont need to flash to verizon stock rom to activate and device to verizon, but it is good practice! just like flashing to stock before flashing a custom rom its not needed but its good practice!!

i say this based on the fact that i have activated a sprint branded tp on verizon with out flashing a verizon stock rom or verizon radio!! as long as the esn is activated and the service programming is correct(using epst or qpst) the phone will work! but for data to work u got to do more digging and more work!!

the only benefits of changing from sprint to verizon would be a better network and higher plan prices(and lte)!!
