Disable Shutter Button in Camera

I have used the Rhodium Keyboard Controller to enable a hardware button on my TP2 to be used for the camera. This also means that when I push this button while in camera, it will snap a photo.

Is there anyway to get rid of the shutter button that is on the screen since it isn't needed when using a hardware button? I looked around in the registry but couldn't find anything.

Re: Disable Shutter Button in Camera

Doubtful. I don't think they were accounting for things like the Rhodium Keyboard Controller when they wrote the software...and therefore presumed you'd always need the shutter icon

Thanks for the tip though. I use that tool a lot, but although I realized I could use it to launch the camera app, I never thought about using it to actually snap the pic too!

That sucks. I thought that maybe there would be a simple registry edit to disable the shutter button.

Yeah, it works just like it did on the Mogul with a dedicated Camera key. I love it!

Re: Disable Shutter Button in Camera

actually if you wanna do some digging you could look in your windows folder and look for that picture. then change the name of the photo (ie: from shutter to shuttter) and then soft reset and then start the camera. see if that works. and thats not the name of the file i was just guessing
