sprint or anyone can create this but then they would have to charge. creating an app that is going to do visual voicemail and play sound trought the exact same application instead of opening up you audio device is going to cost someone ALOT of time, and i mean a lot or its going to take a team of people, no one is about to do this for free. So my point is even if sprint came up with a program and was going to charge like VZ does, i would still probably run phone fusion anyways because its free, and i don't mind widows media player opening up.

As of today, Sprint conditional call forwarding is free, correct? I just want to confirm before I setup my Visual Voice mail with google voice

Re: Visual Voicemail for Sprint, but is it worth it?

Ok a few things within the brief moments I've been playing with this lol:

First, I've attached version 2.0 of the fusion VVM app. I got it straight from Microsoft's website. I saw other threads about fusion posted version 1.

Second: I installed this app to my storage card. If these files are being downloaded, I don't want someone leaving me a 10 minute long voicemail and taking up all the disk space I have on the device lol. Downside to this is the app might not function correctly if a voicemail comes in while I'm connected via disk drive. Should work fine with active sync.

Third: This app DOES download the voicemails automatically like p-slim said. I don't have it running in the background or anything. It even gives you a nice big notification with a button that lets you view it. I'll see if I can't get a screen shot of that.

Finally: This thing only plays out of the speaker, so if you do see a voicemail from someone you know might be saying something private, or if you've got people around, simply calling in is the best way to check these.

I might sum up all these basic notes on the first post.

pslim, run into anything weird so far?

that means it's working

you could always call your phone from another phone and let it go to voicemail to check

can you not just change the association for it to open up in a quicker player? or not open up with the loudspeaker default?

Have you considered trying Audio-route freeware? I suppose it could be a pain to do every time for a voicemail, however it is an easy option to toggle if you want:
