Issues with EnergyROM LEO 23081/21864

Hello all!

I want to first thank all the people out there cooking these ROM's and providing them to us free of charge and only asking for donations. People like you is what is keeping Windows Mobile alive and kicking IMO.

I am having a problem with the EnergyROM's Leo and hoping someone can help me. With 23081, everything works great and I love this ROM. But unfortunately I cannot sync my device and only get an ActiveSync connection so I can remove the ROM. It always hangs up and says "looking for changes" but never proceeds.

With 21864, everything works great and can sync, but when I go to settings tab using Touch Flo tabs, It locks up when selecting some of the choices such as other options and the only way to get out of this is to revove battery or soft reset button.

I am using a Sprint Touch Pro2 and this happens with no additional software installed. I reset phone nuerous times and problem still persists.

Any help would be appreciated since 23081 is the ROM I want to use if I can get it to Sync. When I get paid next week I will make a donation if I can use one of these ROMS because I know alot of hard work went into creating them.

Thanks for any help!!

Read the forum rules bud. This section is for ROM releases only.

Yeah don't post this in the thread about the ROM or anything. That would make way too much sense. I hope you don't get help.

Now that is not very nice saying you hope I don't get help.

Man, tough crowd. Now that Don has you in the right forum, you should get some help. Don't mean to assume anything, but did you flash back to your "shipped" rom before installing the custom. And did you clear storage afterwards?

Yeah sometimes people can be tough but when they need help, they sure hope they get it. I did not flash back to my original ROM from Sprint before flashing. I have just been ROM jumping to find one that has the least amount of issues. I would have to find the original Sprint ROM on here to flash back since I no longer have it on my phone :( And to your second question, yes I cleared the storage a few times before I gave up.

Thanks for responding! I didn't know I posted it in the wrong forum. I saw other posts with questions or concerns so i thought my post would be fine.

Thanks again!

Tony

UPDATE: I tried Juicy's and so far I have not had any errors but unfortuantely it does not contain the RSS HUB app from HTC or OZ's Instant messaging

You should have posted this in the energyrom thread itself...

This is quoted from the Energy ROM FAQ:

ActiveSync Issues (23081 Version)
  1. Go to Start -> Settings -> Connections -> USB to PC
  2. Uncheck the last, "Ask me first about USB...." box
  3. Make sure the "ActiveSync (Sync with Outlook)" bubble is filled in.
  4. You may need to restart the phone for ActiveSync to start working)
Dunno if it will help, but I came across it right after reading this thread so I thought i'd chime in, I flashed the Leo ROM today and love it so I understand you wanting to use it for sure. Good luck!
