OnCourse 6 on TP2
 

I have been using OCN 6 on my 8525 and just switched to a Verizon TP2. Just switching the microSD card to the TP2 installs the icon on the Today screen (I turned off TouchFlo), but nothing else happens when I click on the icon. I have spent hours searching on this site and others, but have only found references to getting OCN 8 to work. Do I need to upgrade?

I can continue to use OCN 6 on the old phone - it becomes a dedicated GPS. But I would like to have something working on my TP2.

upgrade to IGO8. fully independent navigation software! There is a working version for TP2 here : http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=88692
and it has full TTS (text to speech) support!

Thanks for the quick response - now I know I need to save a few pennies for the upgrade. Meantime, the 8525 will be a great dedicated GPS!

You don't to save nothing, IGO8 is fully working version. I even have a link for the maps! All you have to do is download the software and there you go! Just follow the instructions in the thread and you shouldn't have any issues! I've been using IGO8 since the HTC Touch Vogue. And I've used it on the HTC Dual, HTC Diamond and now I'm using it on the TP2. Its simple to use and easy to set up!
