Windows Mobile SMS Alerts- Can I Make Them Stop When I Open the Message?

I like to have songs set for sms alerts, but I get REALLY annoyed when I have to listen to the WHOLE mp3 even after I open the message. If I have a particularly long mp3 set, it even keeps going after I reply! Is there any way I can change this to make the sound stop when the sms is opened?

That's odd... my Touch PRO use to do this but my Touch PRO 2 does not... are you using phone alarm?

im pretty sure that if you hit the end hard button (the red hang up button) it will stop the ringtone...hit my thanks if it works

or... you could use MP3 trimmer and just set a short version of your ring tone. I have my phone ring tone set up with a 25 second section of my favorite oldschool song.

Shorten the tone and it should be fine.

on energy rom is works on juicy rom it doesnt soo it has to be a registry hack for it
