Well it's high because it keeps your most used files in memory. It's not a bad thing really and can even help your performance.

Two cabs there disable push internet, and the memory mapping thing

Happened to me a couple of days ago, 100% stock everything, haven't even HSPL'd it yet.

I only installed google maps, and a couple of other programs. It reset itself when using the WM messaging app to send a text, as soon as I hit send, it restarted. The text still went through, though.

Only happened once so far. I -did- re-enable QuickGPS, which was completely disabled by default on the stock Sprint ROM, but why the restart while texting with nothing else open?

dont know if this helps but has anyone tried taking out the SPRINT sim card in the touch pro 2 so that the phone will be forced to operate only in CDMA mode instead of dual/global mode... perhaps it will be more stable running this way?

1.88.87wv with stock vzw rom

im getting random restarts 3 to 5 times a day while the phone is in my pocket...yes i have google maps. i have disabled quickgps auto update but it is still happening. lets hope we can find a solution as this is extremly annoying

have you tried getting your phone exchanged for another one with verizon? tell them it's defective, no phone should be restarting itself 3 times a day...

Mine didn't come with a SIM - it was a refurb replacement for my 10th touch pro. I still get the reset issue.

You have a touch pro 2 right? Why did you need so many replacements? so are you saying that even if I goto sprint store and exchange my fone for another it would still ahve this reset problem?

Just happened to me for the first time since I've had this phone. 3 times in 1/2 hour. Phone wasn't being used and was plugged into the wall charging.

I'm on Sprint, stock everything. I did re-install the google maps cab earlier tonight, and also installed for the first time the two cabs from the thread "free up 25-30 megs of memory".

I convinced the sprint store guy to exchange the phone for me (because of random restarts, he still thinks i'm crazy since he can't "duplicate" the issue) anyhow they gave me a brand new replacement, and the manufacturing date is 11/30/09

Haven't got a single random restart in a week (with stock or custom roms), guess problem was hardware related, prolly a bad batch of phones manufacturered sometime pre-november.

I have a VZW TP2... stock rom, winmo 6.1. Not unlocked.

I only have installed a few programs (including swype) along with the "no push internet" & "SSK TP2 dynamic resource proxy" fix.

I just got 2 random restarts today (both within 6 hrs of each other).

I was [attempting to] go to m.scottrade.com both times when it happened.
I think it might have something to do with this webpage, my settings, or Opera.... but I'm not sure.

Otherwise no other problems.

UPDATE:
The problem seemed to be with the stored password information in Opera. I went into the settings and cleared this information and it seems to be working ok now.
