Exclamation Radio Reception: Juicy ROM vs. MightyROM

After trying both Juicy's and Mighty's ROMs I noticed I get WAY crappier reception with MightyROM. I actually get freakishly good reception with Juicy ROM.

Juicy ROM R1 = 864 down | 3 bars
MightyROM = 384 down | 0-1 bar

Anyone else notice this?

Re: Radio Reception: Juicy ROM vs. MightyROM

Sure it's not because one rom shows 5 bars and the other shows 7 bars?

A ROM should not have any effect on the reception.

please do not spread false information.

ROM does not affect radio reception what so ever. The main reason for this is because I am using true 6.5 icons while juicy is still utilizing the CDMA RSSI icon provided from the carrier.

This has been discussed within the threads already

Thank you!

Re: Radio Reception: Juicy ROM vs. MightyROM

very wrong , ROM has no effect on signal quality and/or reception .

radio has a major effect , and I bet , you have not flashed any Radio , you are stuck with the stock radio !

all ROMs are good and all the chefs are proffesional and making excellent job, the only major difference in costomization and some speed tweaks that you can implement it yourself to the stock ROM or to their cooked ROMs

do not spread false ideas.

Re: Radio Reception: Juicy ROM vs. MightyROM

I've flashed quite a few, Roms don't impact radio reception. Period.

yeh.... R0 uses the old icons because it shows idle data connections

new release will use 6.5 icons so you can compare more accurately.

did you notice the "down" numbers though?

Juicy ROM R1 = 864 down | 3 bars
MightyROM = 384 down | 0-1 bar

im guessing its just coincidence
