MightyROM Internet Connection Sharing Tethering

Hey Guys,

I flashed to MightyROM yesterday and I realized today that ICS does not work anymore. It worked in the stock rom after I applied the cab tweaks posted on this forum.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Mike's rom uses Wifi ICS, not USB, atleast I don't see the choice on USB option when I connect USB to it.

I prefer Wifi so it doesn't bother me at all.

I am posting this message with usb ICS on mighty's ROM. It works fine. You don't have to install those tweaks from before for it to work, it works out of the box.

WIFI ICS doesn't work for me for some reason, neither does USB ICS....hmmmmm...I wonder what's going on. Any idea?

Wifi gets my phone too hot and I swear i get a better connection/speed via USB.

USB ICS doesn't work for me for some reason, and gives error 67.

Wifi works like a champ.

For record..which OS are you using on the PC? xp32,xp64,vista32,vista64,win7 32,win 7 64 etc

Vista 64bit, but the error isn't coming from what OS you are using. It's sprint server rejecting it. Atleast that's what I think since TP USB used to work w/o rejection.

I do have few cabs that can make it work, but I'm just wondering since others say it should work out of the box (flash).

You are using the Sprint connection right? have you tried connecting to internet explorer/opera first then connecting via ICS?

I'm on XP SP3. My Diamond used to work great... I get hung on "status: waiting for network" on the TP2.

Re: MightyROM Internet Connection Sharing Tethering

Woah, just got it to work... Had to have the connection on the TP2 dead, then link up to ICS. I'm going to try again.

EDIT: Yup that's it. If the data connection is dead, it connects right up. If it is not, it statuses as "waiting for network", but you can poke on the icon in the top bar, get to the comm manager, and poke the data connection off (even though it will stay on because ICS is trying to turn it on). I'm on ICS now...

try

1 - using file explorer go to Windows\Start Menu\Programs - delete internect connection sharing

2 install - ICS_and_WModem_Fix cab

3. using a regedit program

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\InternetSharing]
Extension="" Delete the "isext.dll" entry

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\InternetSharing\settings]
ForceCellConnection="Sprint"

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\InternetSharing]
MaxCMCon=0

[HKLM\Services\CMGuardian]
Flags = 4 (it's a DWORD if it doesn't exist.)

4 - soft reset
5 - Start the Internet Sharing application.
6 - Select Sprint under type of connection.
7 - Hit Connect In the Internet Sharing application.
8 - Connect to the Laptop/PC via USB
9 - Done. No other applications needs to run on the PC/Laptop.
