Re: normal for screen to increase brightness then dim?

You need to disable 'auto backlight adjust' if this bothers you. The path to find it varies depending on your rom but it should be under Start/Settings/System/Power/Backlight and uncheck the auto box.

If you already have it disabled then thats just weird...

Re: normal for screen to increase brightness then dim?

it's not that, i want it ot auto adjust, but here's an example of how it's bugging me:

1-10 brightness (10 highest).

phones on the table, stable lighting. brightness at 5.
phone is about to dim after 30 seconds.
at about 29 seconds, brightness increases to >5
at 30 seconds, dims to 1
phone screen turns off at 1min.

Re: normal for screen to increase brightness then dim?

i just don't recall my TP1 doing that. it's like before it dims, there's a quick surge of brightness. it's not that big a deal, it just grabs my attention thinking i'm getting a text.

Re: normal for screen to increase brightness then dim?

There are things that can trigger this like reconnecting or application and etc..

Are you using a standard rom or a cooked one? also did you disable push internet?
