Animated weather home screen fun!
 

I flashed the Mightyrom on my Verizon TP2, and I've been playing with the home screen to see all the animation. Here are some current world cities for you to see all the animations:

Los Angeles = Sunny
Nuuk, Greenland = Snow
Avellaneda, Argentina = Cloudy
Washington DC = Showers

I couldn't find a thunderstorm, but tomorrow, Avellaneda, Argentina will have lighting.


If you don't hit update now, you can always watch the animations on the home screen.

Also, if you remember, on the weather tab, tapping on the top left corner then top right corner cycles all the animations.


EDIT: Here are some animations I made. They're rough, much smoother and more fluid on the phone. Let it play through, then it'll play smoothly.

not sure about all that tapping but top right does an update on the weather

If you want to see all the different animations, you can go to the Weather tab, tap Menu, then Demo. You can then flick up/down through all eight animations.

What version of Manila are you running? This is only available in 2.5. Sorry, I should have specified.

I have no "demo" tab either, but tap in the top left (above the temp, below the start menu), then tap the top right (above the last update time, and below the task manager). This does a demo of the animations in the weather tab.

..Umm. I thought Mighty for TP2 is only 2.1, and that 2.5 isn't out yet. Or did I miss something? So far all I have is the weather clock using mighty rom on sprint (touch pro 2). It sounds like you're talking about the way the HTC Leo shows weather on the whole screen..

Not sure about him, but I have the Mightyrom for TP2 with Manilla 2.1, and I bleieve I have the full screen animations. Only animates for 5-10 seconds.

Hmm. Have you seen the animations, or are you assuming? I'd love to have this, it's one of the reasons I bought a tp2 :) Can anyone throw a screenshot or verify the current Mighty Rom can do it?
