Settings tab (specifically 'all settings) not responsive..

I dunno what happened, but all of a sudden the left softmenu 'All settings' in the touchflo3d tab has stopped working. I can keep touching it and the screen registers it as being pressed, but it no longer launches me into the windows mobile settings folders. The right menu 'Menu' still works fine. Anyone know what would cause this or where the registry entry for this tab is so I can find out what got corrupted? Thanks in advance!

-Mike

PS. Soft reset does nothing, tried it like 3-4 times already.

Did you delete or rename any files..shortcuts?

I don't know what file that All Settings links to, but you could use the softkey manager to remap it to something else or remap it to all settings if you know what calls that up... someone will probably know.

If you use softkeymanager, be sure to check the Diamond mode box.

Thanks guys, yeah I'm curious as to what file it links to as well. That's why I'm wondering if anyone knows where the registry settings are for this as that will divulge what exe the tab calls. I'm trying to avoid hard resetting if possible. I just got done doing one and putting everything back together...lol.

Mike,

In the registry,

HKLM\SOFTWARE\HTC\Manila

HomeRSKText = what text you want displayed
HomeRSKPath = the path to the program you want.

LSK is the left.

You running stock Sprint?

if you are the softkeys are goofy... the right one you cannot really change, but to change the left one, you enter what you want it to link to in the RSKPATH but use the LSKTest for the text to display on the screen.

I suggest using softkey manager to reset to default and starting over.. this will save you the hard reset... and then you can change the leftkey by using the right softkey place..

Yeah stock rom. The regedit you gave me is for the softkeys on the home screen, I need to find out which controls the softkeys on the Settings tab. Thanks given all the same.

Oh sorry guess i didn't read it well enough..

I'm sure the softkeys are somewhere in the same vicinity of the registry.

I never had issues with the others.

Sorry bro

Re: Settings tab (specifically 'all settings) not responsive..

This happened to me recently. I had installed a cab that made my taskbar transparent, don't remember exact name, and after the soft reset my left soft key on the settings tab would not work either. I ended up connecting my phone to activesync and removing the cab from there. Try removing any programs you have recently installed to see if they fix the problem. After removing the cab and a soft reset mine worked normally.
