Touch 2 Pro Registry Entry being rewritten on reboot
I keep trying to rewrite the registry value HKLM\\Comm\InternetSharing\Settings\ForceCellConne ction.
If I delete it on the next reboot it is recreated with the value of Phone as Modem. If I change it to Sprint and reboot the phone itis value is reverted to Phone as Modem If I do change it to Sprint and do not reboot I can use the ISC without issue and it connects without any problems untill it is rebooted. How can I stop this entry from getting rewritten everytime the HTC Touch 2 Pro for Sprint is rebooted or reset?

I wonder if there is a mortscript that would run on startup and change that value?

you have to disable CM Guardian. Take a look at the thread below it should help

Tethering - tested and works
1 - using file explorer go to Windows\Start Menu\Programs - delete internect connection sharing 2 install - ICS_and_WModem_Fix cab 3. using a regedit program [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\InternetSharing] Extension="" Delete the "isext.dll" entry [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\InternetSharing\settings] ForceCellConnection="Sprint" [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\InternetSharing] MaxCMCon=0 [HKLM\Services\CMGuardian] Flags = 4 (it's a DWORD if it doesn't exist.) 4 - soft reset 5 - Start the Internet Sharing application. 6 - Select Sprint under type of connection. 7 - Hit Connect In the Internet Sharing application. 8 - Connect to the Laptop/PC via USB 9 - Done. No other applications needs to run on the PC/Laptop.

The Fdcsoft TaskMgr will help you disable CM guardian easily.
