Touchflo turned on or off?

Hi,

I have been playing with my TP2 tonight & I am having fun with it. I am coming from a treo pro & I think I can get past that dpad.

I am having some issues switching folders in my mail. Is there a way to just have POutlook open for the mail tab?

Also is there a way to scroll quickly through the Touchflo interface from left to right?

I also find that the zoom doesnt really do anything (is that the common opinion?)

Thanks,
Rich

Re: Touchflo turned on or off?

I've had the same reastion with mine since I got it - seems like any chance I have I just can't put it down! The zoom bar seems to be pretty limited to certain applications (Browser and such) out of the box, but I believe there are a number of features people have put out cabs for through here with different things you can do with it.

As for the e-mail, haven't tried switching from folders through the Mail option in Touchflo, just hit the Inbox button at the bottom if I need to do more than just look at the one message in the Inbox or anything.

For moving in the TouchFlo interface - do you mean between the tabs at the bottom, or once you have opened something?

Re: Touchflo turned on or off?

Sorry,

I mean the tabs at the bottom. To go from Contacts to say settings seems to require my pressing a tab on each until I can work my way over instead of "flicking" the screen to the right to get to the end.

Haha, I didnt see that inbox button. I could not figure out how to make that work!

Lol!

Thanks,
Rihc

Re: Touchflo turned on or off?

No problem, just glad to be able to help around here instead of just reading and learning all the time...lol.

As for the tabs at the bottom, I havent really had a problem with scrolling through them by sliding my finger across, although I have noticed it seems to be more responsive if I touch a tab, then start sliding, rather than just swiping across the tabs - if that makes sense...

Flicking doesn't seem to work, but holding your finger down and sliding (don't lift it off the screen) works like a charm. Hope that helps.

Yes... You're right - I just checked. It does scroll, but (for me) not as precisely (or perhaps better stated - with enough "momentum.") I wonder if there's a way to change that.

Example... I cant flick it starting at Home and get all the way to the end (Settings) in one flick.

That's kinda what I was getting at, I can do the same to go down the list quick to get to settings for example, but I've found for getting to a certain tab, pressing on the tab and sliding seems to be much more responsive and accurate.

i got bored and stopped using TF3d, just using the stock today screen with a few minimal today addons. I notice better performance and battery for sure
