Touch Pro 2 discontinued???

I called Verizon and they said they would send me a msg when the TP2 was back in stock. I just got this reply... "(VERIZON WIRELESS) HTC TOUCH PRO2 OUT OF STOCK. WILL NO LONGER BE SOLD. THANKS FOR CHOOSING VERIZON WIRELESS"

I wish they told me this weeks ago. It would have been nice. I wonder why a popular phone like that has beed discontinued so early?
Now I don't know what to do. I really wanted to get the TP2. The Imagio is nice but missing the keyboard. I do like having a keyboard... Maybe I'll have to leave VZW...

Highly doubt it. All the R&D, support tools, training, will not be flushed down the drain. Could be just a clueless rep. I mean, Sprint's web site did tell me that my Touch Pro 2 can only be used in USA, and not anywhere in the world.

i highly doubt the tp2 is discontinued. maybe they are 'discontinuing' the tp2 with 6.1 on it, and are just waiting for the 6.5 tp2s?

i doubt this aswell, every other carrier has it...theyre perpetually sold out and demand is high...its a great device

Ya know, if Verizon wanted to really discontinue the Touch Pro 2 (dumbest thing I've heard), why would they you know, just pull it from their site?

Just saying, Occam's razor is a neat tool. It is not discontinued, just out of stock.
