Touch Pro 2 and TomTom Go 720

Has anyone been able to pair these 2 succesfully? Hands Free, phonebook import, AND wireless data connection?

Red face Re: Touch Pro 2 and TomTom Go 720

I was able to pair my TomTom Go 720 with my Touch Pro 2. However, the GPS told me that the data connection wasn't supported yet. That sucks since the TomTom uses the phone connection to access traffic info and other TomTom Services. I was able to make and receive calls though. That's about it.

Re: Touch Pro 2 and TomTom Go 720

Has anyone gotten this to work with 6.5 yet? I was able to get my Go 730 set up with traffic services on the stock Verizon 6.1 ROM but none of the custom 6.5 ROMS that I have tried have a data connection that is detected by the TomTom.

I am back on the stock ROM until someone much smarter than me can figure this out.

Re: Touch Pro 2 and TomTom Go 720

Today I finally had success pairing my Go 730 and my TP2. I installed the latest version of MightyRom and it was initially no luck getting the data connection to work between the TomTom and the TP2

I was looking at this thread at XDA http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=560865

I decided to look at my registry and made this change

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\WIDCOMM\Plugin\DUNServ er\ControlPanel]
Enabled=1

I then repaired my TomTom with my TP2 and success! I now have a properly configured data connection and can access TomTom Traffic. Try out MightyRom and see if this will work for you.

Same problem .. however, I have Touch Pro (Not Touch Pro 2), runnint windows 6.5, with Mightyrom already installed, and also using it with PagePlus, rather than Verizon... however, data access is the same, so it should not be an issue.
Do you think this change mentioned above will help me as well?
Thanks.

Re: Touch Pro 2 and TomTom Go 720

It might but I think that the TP ROM might be using the MS bluetooth stack instead of the WIDCOMM one. Check your registry and see if the entry is there.

A little simple english my friend ... ... its a little more complicated for me ..
How can I check my registry? I understand, once I get there, I will check if it has wording "MS bluetooth" or "WIDCOMM".
Thanks
