HTC Touch Pro 2. contact access.

Hi... New user here...

i have just cracked the screen on my TP2. it's insured but they are closed till Monday Boo hoo!
how can i see the contacts via Active Sync?
can i copy the folder via Windows?
is there any way i can access my contacts through my PC?
will i be able to copy everything over to my new TP2 when it arrives? i was building up a nice set of contacts with addresses and emails all stored

FWIW i think Active Sync is very limited in what it appears to be able to do.

thanks for any assistance...

Re: HTC Touch Pro 2. contact access.

i have answered my own question lol.

the reason i thought Active Sync was useless was i had no boxes ticked under the TOOLS>OPTIONS.

i ticked CONTACTS and syncronised, they all ended up in my Outlook contacts. i am quite impressed.

Re: HTC Touch Pro 2. contact access.

If you like those features you should look into an Exchange email account. If you had one the contacts would be synced automatically all the time. Any loss of phone and you could log into outlook or web outlook and have access to all. Then with a new phone you just add the server name and it automatically get them all ... pc not required ...

Its half the reason I still use exchange servers despite getting away from corporate work .. -T
