Is this one compatible? Is it the same quality as oem?

Also can I have instructions on how to do it? Is it easy?
That one is for the GSM version of the TP2. Notice the front hole for the ront facing camera.....not present on the CDMA versions of the TP2.

Re: Touch Pro 2 Disassembly with Photos!

How exactly do you replace the digitizer? Please anyone post some pictures? Is it like all the other stupid smartphones where it is glued to the LCD?

I have the one with a front camera.

I got mine second hand, from a guy who has created a "dent" in the screen.

Re: Touch Pro 2 Disassembly with Photos!

Take screws out of the rear housing, and the housing will pop apart around the qwerty. then remove screws from the hinges, and the take apart from there to the front housing. Then just take apart the fron housing, and the LCD & digitizer will come out through the front, but do not forget to take out the three screws at the bottom near the front button panel.

I have the Sprint TP2, I have lifted my screen up...it has "sticky tape" all around the edge.

Yes, it is. 99% chance that you will crack LCD attempting to remove it from the digitizer. Your best bet is to get LCD/Digitizer already assembled or replace the whole front.

Sliding too much to the other direction is most likely due to rubber stoppers inside being "sliced" a bit. I have the same problem with mine and I bought a broken TP2 of the bay to take apart and see what's inside. There are two small T-shaped rubber stoppers on each side which serve as bumpers to the sliding mechanism when it opens and closes. The problem is that the metal that bumps them is pretty thin so with enough pressure (or given enough time) it makes a small cut in the rubber bumper allowing the assembly to go just a bit more to the side. It is easily fixable by replacing the bumpers (flipping them over may work too maybe) but you would need a spare set. There are other creative ways to fix it but in my opinion it was not worth it to take mine apart to fix this and risk breaking something else in the process. But you can give it a shot
