Verizon Touch Pro 2 Calendar

I have had a TP2 for about two weeks and have a problem I can't find a fix for.

I travel across time zones frequently. When the TP2 clock updates to the new time zone all the times in the calendar change.

The only workaround I have found is to set the home and visiting times to EDT and disabling the clock auto updating, but this makes the time shown on home page wrong whenever it is not in my home time zone.

Does anybody know a way to fix this?

Thanks

I know Pocket Informant will change this behavior, but it's not freeware.

You may also be able to turn off Time Syncronization with the network under Phone Options and just manually change the time when arriving to a new time zone. You will have to remember to change the time back when you leave that time zone though.

Re: Verizon Touch Pro 2 Calendar

I emailed Pocket Informant support with my time zone question and it seems their calendar will change times just as the installed calendar does. Here is their response:

Greetings and thank you for contacting us.
Pocket Informant is reading the same database as the built in calendar database, and will change events with changes in your device's time zone settings (the same as the built in calendar).

We appreciate having the opportunity to help and serve you. Please let us know if there is anything more we can do.

Re: Verizon Touch Pro 2 Calendar

Does anybody use a TP2 when they travel?

There should be a way to make this calendar not change when crossing time zones
