No text suggestions/correct with keyboard

When I use the slide out keyboard to type email and texts, I don't get the predictive text/corrections. However, it is enabled with the soft keyboards. Am I missing a setting?

Thank you.

Re: No text suggestions/correct with keyboard

Are you normally switching from ABC to XT9 to get predictive text in portrait? For some reason when you slide out the keyboard, XT9 reverts back to ABC. Open the SIP and you'll see what I mean. If you move it to XT9 again, close the SIP, then you get back predictive text. Sucks but that's the only work around I've found. However, the worst part is, after you switch it to XT9 and close the keyboard...the next time you slide out the keyboard it's back to ABC. Useless!

If I start out with XT9 in portrait and then go to the slide out keyboard, it seems to turn XT9 off. However, if I bring up the soft keyboard in landscape, turn on XT9 and then start using the slide out kb it seems to work. Annoying, but at least it seems to be a workaround.

Thanks!
