How do you add "Emoticons" to your emails and text messages?

I have to be overlooking something but in the "My Documents" folder in my Sprint TP2 there is a folder called "UAContents". In that folder there is another folder I came across which contains a group of smileys called "Emoticons". However I cannot figure out how to add them to my emails and text messages. How do you use them?

That folder is there for MMS. You can't use those in SMS messages.

There used to be an add-on someone made that made use of emoticons in text messages but I can't remember it for the life of me.

I wonder if there a free WM app for smileys that can be added to emails and SMS messages that anyone is aware of?

I think you guys are thinking of this program here at XDA. Its called Smiley SMS & adds animated smileys to sms. Try it out but I don't remember if its VGA. I've used it before on my Titan.

Edit: freeza you got to it just before I did!
