Stupid Question...

So this may be a very stupid question and probably discussed in other forums, or a long time ago, BTW I googled and searched, but what are some best practices for installing applications? More importantly when do you install on the Storage card vs. Device?

any app can be installed to the card so long as it doesn't interface with the today screen ie plugins and such...i have pretty much all 3rd party apps installed on my card and anything home screen related gets installed directly to the device.

The rules I use are:

Main Device:
Apps that run all the time or on launch. (i.e. apps that run in the background)
Apps that require serial numbers.
Today screen plugins. (however with MS3, Manila, etc. I hardly install any Today screen plugins)

Storage Card:
Small apps.
Apps that don't require any serial number.
Browsers.
Media players.
Tweaking programs
Registry editors.
File explorers.
etc.
