Best MicroSDHC card?

My apologies if this has been asked before, but a search didn't turn up the kind of results I'm looking for. I'm going to be buying a 16GB microsdhc card for my phone, and I'm really lost as to which brand/class to get. I've heard good things about SanDisk, but what confuses me is that their cards are only class 2. Would it be better to go with a class 2 Sandisk card, or go with a class 5 from a lesser known brand? I just want something with the fastest read/write speeds, I don't mind paying a few extra bucks for the best one.

Right now I have an 8gb Transcend class 5 microsdhc card, and while I got it for $18, the read/write speeds have been abysmal. I'm not sure if that's the fault of my phone or computer, however.

Any help would be appreciated, because I can't wait to load all of my music onto my phone.

Re: Best MicroSDHC card?

I have a class 6 Transcend 8GB (also about $20) and it's much faster than an old 2GB (class 2) that I was using. I would definitely go for a higher class rating than a name brand if I had to. Read the reviews. 16GB cards are so much more expensive.

Also, yes, it could be your card reader. And maybe use tnyynt SD TuneUP?

Re: Best MicroSDHC card?

I currently have a 6GB class 4 card and its slooow, so iv been looking for a new card as im finding 6GB is just not enough for the music I want to carry around with me. Minus about 1-1.5GB for my podcasts (I have a job thats incredibly boring and it helps pass the time...), im consistently deleting and adding songs I want to play so I need a faster card. Iv been looking at an 8GB class 6 card that should work right? Id love to get a 16GB class 6 card but I cant justify $60 though
