Re: Touch Pro 2 Cleanup

Clem2. Thank you. It worked the second time! I wasn't going to try it, but as you said, with SPB backup, it is easy to get back to where you were. Thanks for prodding me into a second attempt.

Why did you decide to stop using SPB Mobile?

Re: Touch Pro 2 Cleanup

Ok. I have read several of these posts as I am new to this thread but have been running through too many issues with my TP2 freezing after reading or sending texts as with many other people. I performed a hard reset on the phone and immediately installed the Sprint clean up from the first post. I never did install the tweak program because the phone was working fine. The only issue I have now is my on screen keyboard no longer has a space bar. It seemed like it was replaced with a .com bar instead. If I install the T9 or word correction cabs would this be corrected? Or should I have installed the tweaks program?

Sorry if this was already posted and I missed it. Also, what other cabs should I install so I don't run into that freezing issue again.

Thanks.

Hey, I saw your question (I'm only on bec trying to figure out why my wifi is stuck on "connecting", even though wifi sharing works fine).

Here's what I do:

When enabling Classic Word Correction, Opera users may experience an issue in which the soft keyboard gets stuck in web or numeric mode. To avoid/correct this, click in the "Search" section below the address bar (instead of the address bar) before exiting Opera.

I get the problem sometimes, so I either get the spacebar by clicking the numbers and using it, or I go back to Opera and do the above. There may be a .cab out there to fix this, but I don't remember right now. Search for the above error, if there's a .cab that'll probably find it.

Edit: by the way, I just realized I didn't give credit to where the info came from - the first post in this thread. That's where I got it when I noticed I had this problem, and that's where I "copy & paste" it from just now.

Re: Touch Pro 2 Cleanup

Hey...Thanks for the quick response. It worked great. Weird how it is not there when I am trying to text but reappears when I do the Opera trick. Is it OK that I installed just the Sprint clean up cab and not the tweaks? I may mess around with the other cabs that are there but so far the clean up program has worked very well. I am going to check some other threads for more cool apps.

Thanks again.

I found this:

I think that might be the keyboard fix cab you were discussing.

Re: Touch Pro 2 Cleanup

Is there any way of removing the nueBattery app that installs with the Cleanup? All of a sudden, my Sprint TP2 won't charge when the power is on and I wanted to remove nueBattery to troubleshoot the problem.

Delete battery.dll from \windows (use Total Commander or Resco Explorer if you can't do it with the default File Explorer). That will restore the ROM version (assuming whatever ROM you flashed didn't already have nueBattery).

Re: Touch Pro 2 Cleanup

If I want to remove this cleanup do I just uninstall the cab? In remove programs?
Or will that not work?

OR
Will I have to hard reset before uninstalling the cab? or after uninstalling the cab (If the above does not work)? Or can I hard reset either way with same results?
