email password?

Im having a problem with checking my Gmail account on the default FL3d app.It keeps telling me to enter my incoming name and password again eventhough it was setup the same way before with no troubles. for varification i logged into the website with that name/password and all worked well...ive even changed the password and that didt work....any idea of how im to fix this really annoying issue?

please anyone, i know the password is correct. it'll log into the account through the web browser, Ive even changed the password and its still a nogo...any suggestion of what could be wrong? or an alternative to use for email that still uses the FL3d tabs at the bottom? please??

Here's two things that I would recommend:

1. Delete that account on your phone. Do a soft reset. Re Add that same account (just to be sure, make sure you name the account differently - ie: if it was called gmail.com, just call it gmail) It may be the easiest fix.

2. Try downloading FlexMail 4.1 (free trial). You can get it at www.webis.net. Even if you want to keep using the built in client, I would recommend trying this, as this mail client allows you to see the status of the connection to the server. It may be your server timing out on your connection.

If either of these don't help, please post more details about what you're actually dealing with (ie: provider & connection type: POP, IMAP, or Exchange).

i'm having the exact same problem. it happens at random. it also stops at random. i have a imap type gmail account.

Do you have POP and/or IMAP enabled in Gmail?

Gmail.com -> Sign In -> Settings -> Forwarding and POP/IMAP

yup. they're enabled. normally this works fine. i can send and receive email with no problem. it just stops sometimes

like today. i did a send/receive around 1 this afternoon and i got my email. i tried again at 530 and it prompted me for my username and password. its still doing that now
