Anyone bothered by the mail in rebate being offered?
I saw this article on AOL and it reminded me of the Verizon $100 mail in rebate for TP2
http://www.walletpop.com/blog/2009/0...ts-a-ripoff%2F I don't know if its the same for other carriers or not, but I was a little annoyed that I would not be getting cash but a prepaid credit card, even though its advertised as a $100 MIR. The cash itself is more important to me than what I can buy with it, as I use most of my cash for a lot of cash necessary purposes such as poker and bills. Just wondering what others thought of this. I was thinking I could try to use the card at the casino like a cash advance to get the cash out but I highly doubt it would work. |

Did you do it at the time of purchase, or did you call them back and ask them for it? I didn't think to do it at the time of purchase. I hate that I have to cut the original box up. If I want to sell it on Ebay someday, it would be nice to have the packaging in tact. As far as cash vs. the card, I don't care. There's at least 1 transaction I do a month that is $100, so I'll just use it for that. In fact I'd prefer that over having to go to the bank to deposit it. |

Re: Anyone bothered by the mail in rebate being offered?
I think its kind of annoying for my customers but i've never really thought of it as a big deal. but then again i've known about the "split tender" workout for a year so while i haven't had one i know how to use them and usually after i explain to my customers they're ok with it. and if you don't like rebates on your phone then shop at radioshack or bestbuy
