TF3d Start Menu: Huge "Start"

TF3d Start Menu. Why does it have a huge "Start" at the top, room that could have been used for an extra row of shortcuts? Is this to avoid a lawsuit from mapple? Is there a fix to remove the word "Start"?

if you look at all the other tabs.....they say where you are also. i.e. the email tab says email etc. not sure it has anything to do with a law suit from apple.

Why else would they devote so much screen real estate to redundant information? Otherwise it would look exactly like iPhone. As far as the other tabs, I'm not really a fan of TF3D in the first place and I only use weather, mail, and settings.

You say it needs a "fix" as if something is wrong? Sounds like just personal preference to me... anywho, if you aren't a fan of TF3D you've got lots of options to try including mobileshell3, which has many skins, among others.

Here's a screenshot of WM6.5. By the looks of things, a fix is on the horizon. The start menu looks perfect.

Re: Blatant design flaw: TF3d Start Menu

I thought they used some of the Sense UI GUI with the TP2. I think HTC screwed up with the design and hardware on the TP1 so they had to come up with something, fast. So what they did was pump out the TP2 with 6.1 even though its suppose to have 6.5. They also needed something to entice customers to buy the TP2 when the TP1 only came out a yr ago. All though I could be completely wrong but it makes sense to me.

Re: Blatant design flaw: TF3d Start Menu

it's just with tweaks & TF3D disabled (memory hog).. The thread title is extremely misleading. I know you are brand new here, but think you could tone it down a bit. A design flaw wold be something serious within the software or hardware that does not have a fix & causes serious issues.

This is simply a dislike of one of the many interfaces that are available to the public.

Re: Blatant design flaw: TF3d Start Menu

Sorry if the thread title is a bit harsh. I just think this start menu is WEAK and was hoping someone had a better one.
