verizon tp2 gps locked

I have just purchased the verizon tp2 and the gps will not work with google maps, bing, etc. I checked all of the settings based on the tp 1 that i used to have. location on, com ports, automatic, etc. Any ideas???

this is kinda the wrong area probably be moved but did you run quickgps first? that has to be ran first then you should get quick locks after thats been ran.

have u used the qpst to change the server setting for gps use?
try this thread it might help u ! some people with tp2 gps worked out of the box i just guess u not one!!

i did the quick gps update as well, thx. did not fix it

hmm does the agps work?? and i guess since you checked the settings, the com port is set to 4 and the baud rate to 4800? other then that then id check on that post i linked and try that, umm does anything show up in the included GPS tool? idk if verizon included that with theirs tho.

thx for the help i went to the thread but it only lists alltel, bell, telus and sprint. I have verizon, not sure what to do

hard reset, run quick gps again download new information and finally ope google maps and see if that doesn't help

Sorry if this was tried already, but you do know that Google Maps needs to be set to "Use Gps" in the right softkey context menu, right?

I found the following somewhere. I have not tried it yet.

Hard reset
Hold down the end key till the device powers off, then hold volume down, send and end till you see blue text. Follow hard reset prompts.

Settings/All Settings/Memory/Clear Storage tab
