Verizon Touch Pro 2 WM 6.5 on October 6th???

I was just wondering if anyone knew if Verizon had plans for releasing an update for our phone on October 6th? After reading about the Out of Stock messages on their web site, it seemed to me that it made sense that they were holding off on releasing inventory on 6.1 phones so they could release the 6.5 ROM TP2s.

Does anyone have info that could confirm this since I know that the release date for 6.5 is October 6th by all accounts.

I read somewhere that Verizon was going to do one of 2 things.

1. they were going to wait till mid october and release the TP2 with WM 6.5

or

2. they were going to do like everyone else and release the phone with 6.1 and offer upgrades in october. wich is what they did. they did that so they could keep up with the other carriers offering the TP2... so lets just hope they keep up to the plan and offer us 6.5... im sure they will

In fact, Verizon Wireless has already confirmed that it will offer a WM 6.5 upgrade for the HTC Touch Pro2 by the end of the year, and Sprint has alluded to doing the same for its version of the smartphone. AT&T is also rumored to be getting its own version of the Touch Pro2 under the Tilt 2 name as well as the HTC Pure (aka HTC Touch Diamond2).

still no word on tmobile getting a official upgrade?????? i know i havent heard anything.... And i want the real deal since Mighty Mikes Cdma and im sure he wont do any gsm roms........ I know theres other good cooks, but its either MM or official.......

Verizon and Sprint have already announced they will provide upgrades to 6.5. ATT will release the phone with 6.5 preloaded. ATT wanted to release it on October 6 but it was delayed to the 18th cause of a bug. Tmobile has not said anything about an upgrade (but it does have HSPL and ROMs already cooked).
