Upgrade for for touch flo 3d in genaral...

I just got a question... I've seen touch pro phones get new versions of touch and was wondering about it for the touch pro 2. Does HTC ever do and official Touch Flo update...?? Cause I've seen the (Manila 2.5 or 2.6) I was wanted to know is there an official update without any tweak problems or anything like that. Cause I def want to get the Touch Flo 2.6

If anyone could shed some light on this for me would be great!

i am curious about this too. ive searched and cant find anything official. id like having manila 2.5/2.6 with out having to use a cooked rom. someone please advise.

I believe certain manilla versions require certain windows mobile versions. Therefore to have manilla 2.5/2.6 you must have WM6.5/6.5.1 . Though I'm no chef so I could be mistaken.

Correct, the newer Manila versions require code from newer WM versions. For instance, Manila 2.5 requires components from WM 6.5 in order to work.

Manila 2.6, on the other hand, is to be used on a different processor, but is essentially the same exact thing, just different build number.

HTC does not provide straight upgrades for Manila. Instead, it must come preinstalled in a ROM provided by the carrier. Until we have an unlocker and can port those versions (OEMs) to custom ROMs, we're unfortunately at the mercy of our carriers.
