Does Verizon TPro2 come with Java runtime?

I'm not stupid. Hell, I've WRITTEN desktop Java apps. I downloaded some JARs to the phone (designed for mobile) and couldn't get them to start. Numerous searches here and via Google isn't giving much info, probably because the Verizon edition just launched.

I see that the Sprint edition comes with Aplix JBlend runtime. I can't find any sign of that on my VZW edition.

So can anyone here confirm or deny that VZW TPro2 ships with a Java runtime environment?

I don't think it does. I'm not 100% sure but it usually gets cooked in at some point.

No, it doesn't. I loaded an Esmertec build so I could run the g-mail app.

You know, it would seem that with a windows operating system that you'd have a java program.

So my question is would it have been omitted due to causing problems? Perhaps the Touch pro2 doesn't have enough system resources to run it?

I'd rather not install a custom rom.

Is there any way to install java without using a custom rom?
