Call history display

Dumb question:

On my old Mogul, when I added a new contact number, any prior call from that number in my call history would change from being displayed as "unknown" to displaying the new contact name.

I just added a new contact on my TP2, yet the history display still lists the number as unknown. This annoys me. Considering the Mogul is a techno dinosaur, I'm surprised by this.

Is there some preference or setting I can change so that the call history display would update properly?

It might be a TF3D thing. Another thing that seems buggy to me is that when email is sending/receiving, the menu choice doesn't change to "Stop Send/Recieve"
