To Get Touch Pro 2, Plan Change required?

Please, I will start by saying I apologize if this has been covered, I have looked and can't find it. So please, no flaming, just point me to the right Thread and Admin can delete or close this.

I want to get the Touch Pro 2, but I am not sure if they require a change of Plan like the Pre.
I have the Free & Clear Plan 3000
Which has Unlimited Tex, Data and More and I pay $20/month.
When I got the Touch Pro, no questions were asked, But this time around I don't know. I was on the phone with a Sprint Sales Rep and she said I would have to get one of the Everything Data plans to be able to use the phone.
So, please to those of you who already have this phone, were u asked to change plans? Be it SERO or F&C Plan 3000.
And if not, what can I do to make sure I retain my plan?

No plan change required. I just activated my TP2 on my old F&F 300 plan.

Yeah, no plan change required, so you should be good to go.

no plan change is required for purchase...however...you will not be eligible for the mail in rebate without one of the specified plans...

The rebate is only $100 and the new plans are way more expensive. Money is money.

Thanks for all your responses, I appreciate it. Man these Reps lie so bad. They just want to get me to change my plan. Shame on them. I don't have a stable job right now, and I want to save every way I can.

How did you do it? Do you just go online and do the swap/activation? I have the same issue and would like to know how I need to get this done..

No special plans required for TP2. You CAN get the rebate on a $30 plan SERO, or any other plan for that matter. I have the $30 sero plan with my TP2, was never asked to change my plan, and have cashed the $100 rebate check

How about your data? It is correct that you do not need any special plan but you have to be sure your existing plan includes data or what they used to call vision. Or you will be in for a surprise!

got tp2 on a sero500 plan no change in anything
did it in store took 20 minutes total
