Wifi turns off with screen?

Did this on my TP2 Sprint Tonight and seems to be working fine.. Using Stock Rom

Can someone try it with Qik, for streaming to a website, but with the screen off?

this used to work when i was running stock sprint everything with a few cabs. now that i'm using goodlife's sprint tweak cab, your cab doesnt work anymore :/ any ideas?

edit: figured it out. simply pressing the power button on the top of the phone disables internet, but if you're using that xpshutdown program, you need to press and hold the power button, then manually click on turn off screen. that keeps the wifi active if you're sharing with a computer or just using it to surf the web.

hey thats i think a setting thing..i know it has to be..just the other day i was going thru something and i forsure remember some settings said..for idle or stand by..list of check boxes..disconnect from data when idle or backlight off then theres more..it has to be a setting cus i made sure it wasnt checked...if i find it ill post it..

Ok, bringing this thread back again. I was on Malrom which kept wifi on while in standby....now I flashed to the Sprint 6.5 rom and wifi turns off while in stand by....

What is the registry setting or can someone point me to the cab that will fix this?

change the power settings under WiFi settings. thatd how i do it. i always thought it stayed on even when screens off

Not sure which settings you are referring to....if its the Power Save Mode settings then I've tried that and still turns off in standby.

Did you try the registry hack mentioned on page 2?

Yeah I've tried that. Still turns off while in standby.
