Verizon TP2 Backlight Button

Is there a way to disable the top backlight button when the keyboard is open? I've looked around and only found the one listed for the power button, it doesn't disable the top button.

Technically the power button is the "End Call" button.
The top button is to turn the backlight on/off.

Does your backlight go off sometimes when you have the keyboard open? Do you know if there is anyway to to adjust the time that the backlight is on?

Re: Verizon TP2 Backlight Button

My finger accidentally hits it a lot when opening and typing on the keyboard. Instead of getting used to it i want to see if there is a way to disable it when the keyboard is open.

From the tweaks sticky in this forum:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=546094
That will do what you're looking for and more.
edit: Yes it says "power" button but it's referring to the top sleep button, trust me this is what you want.

I was just thinking yesterday, "Didn't HTC actually TEST this damned thing with multiple people before finalizing the design?"

I hit that damned button on a regular basis.

Re: Verizon TP2 Backlight Button

this thread isnt too old to bring back to life is it?

is there just a simple tweak/cab that switches the actual "end button" with the "real" power button? i liked it on top on my tp and i would like it on top on my tp2

sorry i feel like an idiot. been tired and working so i dont read everything
