Any tweaks to clear up the music as a ring = lag issue?

I have put the music ringtone in my phones ringtown file instead of on my sd card and I still get a good bit of lag. Sometimes its worce then others and sometimes I basicly just have some trouble answering the phone at all.

It simply depends on the size of the file... the smaller the file, the quicker it can load... plain and simple...

I like this phone a lot more them my pro 1 but man this phone is buggy right now. Hopefully they update it and tweak it to make it work flawlessly.

there should be a copy of mp3 trimmer on you phone under all programs, use it to make the mp3 less than 20-30 seonds

i think onlt T-Mobile got p3e trimmer. For Sprint and VZW, dowload the cab in this forum

I have a VZW TP2, it's got the MP3 Trimmer software on it. It's not automatically in the Start menu programs, but it is in the All Applications list...

And yes, if ringtones are generally 20-30 seconds, there is no lag. I currently have around 20 custom ringtones for my contacts, all are under 20 seconds, and they play as soon as the phone rings. All were chopped with the MP3 Trimmer on my Touch Pro, and moved to the Touch Pro 2.

I liked the Nitrogen ringer creation option. For some reason or another, it did not lag on the Touch Pro despite using an entire song. Does it trim the file too ?

Not True.. I have the Sprint phone and it included MP3 Trimmer

NMHUSA the lage we are refuring to isnt a ringer lag. The TP2 has a slide to answer style pick up and when you slide your finger to answer the call it just stays green sometimes. If this happens you can still pick up via the call button so no big worries plus I learned that if you just slide it once and remove your finger it might still lag a little but it will pic up in less then a second.
