Is sprint navigation needed for gps on TP2?

I'm just curious, are you required to pay for sprint navigation to use gps on this phone? I know that you are for some phones, but wasn't sure if gps was completely unlocked on this phone. I also know that google maps will work with wifi, but it's not accurate enough for me unless it's connected to the gps.

The only reason that I ask is that it's an extra $15 for sprint nav, and I don't even use that app to navigate.

From what I've seen, the Sprint users just have to turn location settings to "on" and then GPS works with whatever program you want, so you shouldn't have to pay the extra to use it.

Gps always works. The only thing you have to pay for is Sprint Navigation.

ive never seen charges from Sprint Nav, ever.. dont use it everyday or anything, but a few times a month maybe... and i certainly never added it or something and just didnt know.... it used to be included in your unlimited data description

Yes if you have an unlimited data plan it is included.

GPS works on Sprint Touch Pro2 with out the need for Sprint Navigation.. Sprint Navigation is a pay-for GPS application rebranded by Sprint.. Case closed, thread closed, but discussion is never!
