Sounds almost like PIM database corruption to me.
Delete the email account, soft-reset then try re adding it. Also you could change your IMAP settings to delete immediately rather than using the Deleted Items folder, or, if you're really at your wit's end a hard reset of the device may help (or not). May be an idea to test with another device (ie computer) to verify that this isn't an issue with Rogers IMAP too. |

I just deleted the account and did the soft reset. I'll monitor this for the next couple of days and let you know.
