Telus email wonkiness

Every once in a while all of my email from one account will be deleted and then re-loaded on the next auto send/receive. I only keep 3 days worth of emails in my inbox and some folders keep their contents indefinitely. All of them are effected. There doesn't seem to be a pattern, other than it's happening now daily. When I look to see the new message, my phone is redownloading some 200+ messages in a single send/receive.

I'm having this issue with a IMAP4 Rogers account.

Besides the hassle of waiting for my messages to load the largest issue is this seriously reduces my battery life.

Does anyone know what is causing this? I had a similar issue with my p6800 (oddly enough it only happened when I was at Pearson Int'l Airport and REALLY needed a message badly), but this seems to be happening much more frequently with the TP2.

Help!

No one has any issues with this? Any suggestions?

Sounds almost like PIM database corruption to me.

Delete the email account, soft-reset then try re adding it.
Also you could change your IMAP settings to delete immediately rather than using the Deleted Items folder, or, if you're really at your wit's end a hard reset of the device may help (or not).

May be an idea to test with another device (ie computer) to verify that this isn't an issue with Rogers IMAP too.

I just deleted the account and did the soft reset. I'll monitor this for the next couple of days and let you know.

Thanks!
