That's how it works unfortunately. It's just a screen & doesn't link you to the actual message location. I think there were versions of this program that linked you directly to the message, because I remember one of Juicy's ROM's on the TP1 worked that way, but this one doesn't provide that functionality.

that's weird, because in the owner's manual, (I actually looked over it) it says if you click on it, it would take you to the item you click on...oh well though!! Guess that's Sprint for ya

Yeah you're right. So maybe it is a bug. It didn't work on the T-Mobile version either, so I thought it was just the way it worked.

Re: Official Touch Pro 2 defects thread

Hey guys, here is a new issue I just noticed
Dead/Stuck camera pixel? o_O?

When I take pictures, there is always a purple dot in the same spot of every picture, even after I tried cleaning the lens and the front and back plastic camera cover. This dot only appears on the photo itself, not in the picture taking screen.

http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g1...c/IMAG0005.jpg
http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g1...c/IMAG0006.jpg
http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g1...c/IMAG0007.jpg

I don't feel like doing another call in return, might wait til I can go in-store

p.s.
The dot may seem insignificant, but it is a bit more noticeable at the full 1216 x 2048 resolution

I really think I should be able to turn on the screen and have 0 dead pixels, i.e., I don't think dead pixels are the expected norm.
I think you guys are being too fanatical about this dead/stuck pixel issue. LCD displays have this issue. The End. You say that it seems there is a larger occurance with the TP2 than most devices but remember that the HTC community is one of the most active out there so of course youre going to hear more about it. But also remember that the VAST majority of the users out there will never get on this site or XDA so youre basing your judgement on a smaller group of users who of course are going to post when they find dead/stuck pixels...because you asked. Also, would these guys have noticed them if you hadnt specifically asked people to check? Nine times out of ten, no. This is an issue that isnt really an issue. If you have some that are in the middle of the screen and you see them all of the time, fine, exchange it. But if the only way you can see them is under a specific set conditions that you have to use to see them, so what. This isnt something specific to HTC or the TP2. Every LCD manufacturer has a dead pixel return policy. Look it up. THIS IS COMMON IN LCDS! If you have NEVER had a dead pixel on ANY device in your entire life, i would say you either didnt notice them, or youre lying out your @$$.

Hmmm... to me it looks like a dead pixel more than a stuck pixel. Dead pixels are worst since they are DEAD. Stuck pixels ahve a slim chance they will go away but very slim. Thats better than a dead.

You are right and wrong. First you are right that LCD do have dead or stuck pixels. Wrong to say all of them have it. Put it this way.... 6700,Mogul,Touch,Diamond and Pro one had absolutely 0 dead pixels. The reason we are seeing this NEW anomaly is because HTC has bought a inferior LCD screen. Simple. Dont believe me? Go ask anyone with the older gen devices if they have ever seen a dead or stuck pixel. You will realize that that does not exist. Thank you.

Anyone know Sprints policy on dead pixels? Thanks.
Sprint TP2 here..

I have the same bleed effect in the same place on mine.. Also my windows button is too far receded and you have to push it really hard to get it to work..

Going to go into the Sprint store and get the replacement process started..
