No TP2 Inventory in local stores
 

I don't get it!? I went to the store today to go pick up my tp2 and they hadn't gotten them in yet. So I checked around to other stores in my area. Still nothing! How can sprint give a release date but not have the phone available. I'm going to get on the horn with sprint and give them a piece of my mind. With any luck I'll be able to get a 50 dollar credit. I'm sooooo pissed!

maybe because they were released through telesales and online just like their press release stated lol. Good luck with getting them to give you a $50 credit on something you failed to read and understand lol

How did they fumble a phone release??? And what do you mean they never done that before??? You guys are hilarious. The diamond was released this same way last year and wasn't in stores. I had to order it through telesales and the stores didn't recieve them until a couple of weeks later. And then when the Touch Pro was released at Best Buy first which is where i picked it up and the Sprint stores didn't get them for about a week until a week and a half later. This isn't anything new. Maybe you guys just didn't know about the phone until it was in the stores and though it had just been released.

perhaps the press release said that however telesales did tell me that they would be in the stores today an so did the store employees. I'm a little bummed. Guess I'll be ordering one through telesales.

Well regardless of what an employee tells you i would always believe a press release over them. This is something that comes from corporate and they have to uphold due to false advertising. The press release stated that the phone would be only available online and thru telesales at the time of launch. So i don't know why you guys are suprised that it's not in the stores yet.

Here is the press release again for those of you who failed to read it.

And as stated in the second paragraph
"Beginning Sept. 8, customers will be able to purchase HTC Touch Pro2 through the Web (www.sprint.com), Telesales (1-800-SPRINT1) and sales representatives for $349.99 with a two-year service agreement and after $100 mail-in rebate."

if it wasn't for this site and a couple others with the leaked info, no one would have even heard of this phone let alone buy one. how does sprint or any company for that matter expect to sell something if they don't advertise it first? do they think you'll just wander in one day and there it is in a glass case? imagine chevy saying saying "you can order this car online or by calling our 1-800 number" without having a floor model. remember the pre? you could only buy it in the stores that sprint closed early to set up pre displays and what-not and every store ran out. like i said, another sprint fumble.

what's the problem? sprint released the phone early... it's as easy as picking the phone up.
