Just wondering what people are getting for battery life on their TP2. How long will it last with normal to heavy use? Looking to buy one but need to know about bat. life.

Re: Bettery life

Every day I am floored on how well this battery performs. Not just compared to the TP1 but compared to MOST data handset devices. Working within a dealership I am able to compare a lot of these features over a the vast majority of current generation handsets.

The battery life for the TP2 always gets me into the next day without a charge. I am by no means being conservative either. My last full charge was yesterday morning at 8:21 to be exact and I am currently at 40% remainder. Since then, I have used my GPS, Speakerphone AND internet radio generously.

Hope this helps!

I don't think thats the case with lithium ion batteries. There is no need to drain it all the way to then fully charge it up to better optimize battery performance.

That's what I thought as well. In fact, I could have sworn that this was not recommended.

That whole fully drain/fully recharge thing is for nickel type batteries not lithium. With lithium its better for the battery to do partial discharges and keeping it fully charged than to do a full discharge then a full recharge.
