Recommendations for playing Java games?

Hi everyone,

I found this java game Chuck Norris: Bring on the pain that I just had to play. Unfortunately it's not available on WM and is strictly a Java game. I know there are Java emulators to allow Java games to run on the TP2 but I don't know which is best.

I found and installed Jblend myself. However I didn't know that the game would run so small on the top left corner of the screen! After some researching I found there were about 10 resolution variants of this game and even a few designed for HTC phones. I tried pretty much all of them and most of them were way too small or wouldn't work. The closest I got to it working now is an HTC touch screen VGA version. The only downside now is the game runs WAY too slow.. So I'm wondering is it the Jblend causing the lag? Should I be using a different Java program? Is there a Java program that will also stretch the games automatically if the resolution doesn't match the TP2?

Any help on this topic would be appreciated!!

The TP2 has higher resolution then the other phones..there are other jvms like:

Esmertec JBed
JavaFX

I don't know if they will solve your issue or not though. Also, if you want to improve game performance, you may want to install the XDA 3d drivers(but note that these drivers are beta quality)

Thanks for the tips I will try those Java programs instead and hope for better results.. I have however installed the new D3D drivers but thought maybe Java games use 2d drivers..

It depends on which library they use for generating graphics, I looked at the screenshots right now quickly and by the looks of it most of it does seem 2d..you may still benefit out if they use some 3d elements like on special attacks or video playback.
