TP2 Revolt against Sprint!

I know this is probably next to impossible but hey, I've seen bigger things happen. I'm talking how can we get a revolt against the crazy high price of the TP2. I would love to see a huge hold out, by that I mean displaying a public revolt of users committed to not buying this phone. It's simple, supply and demand. Sprint has the supply, but if the demand is not buying the phone they will be forced to sell it at a lower cost, or perhaps offer the rebate as instant. I mean really does HTC offer the rebate or does Sprint? I think Sprint does. So let's see if we can get this to spread like wild fires (no pun intended here for my so cal friends). Let's see if we can get this on digg and all the social network mediums.

I for one will commit to not buying this phone as much as I want it.

So who is with me here?

Yeah, that'll work.

They're scrambling now to re-price it.

You see the glass have empty huh....Like I said I know it is next to impossible but you never know, if enough folks jumped on the bandwagon, consumer voices are loud!

Hell no i'm not jumping on this wagon because its stupid. if you can't afford one then you shouldn't get one and trying to start a revolt is stupid. I want a aston martin but can't afford one, should i stand outside of their shop or go on websites and ban them till they lower their prices? this thread is stupid and plus the tp2 is only $50 more then the tp1 was, thats not that big of a difference plus the phone is bigger and better so someone can expect a $50 increase.

Fine by me don't, your logic is lame, this is a phone not a car, but ok. Like I said I know it's prolly impossible but would be cool to pull off. You can move on now

too bring you to speed the TP1 cost 399.99 with a 100.00 rebate, the diamond cost 299.99 with a 100.00 rebate the TP2 COST 449.99 WITH A 100.00 REBATE, which makes it 150.00 more...

Re: TP2 Revolt against Sprint!

I agree with you, but here is the problem. Like you said, this is all about supply and demand. Unfortunately, there is no competition for HTC today. This is why they can get away with crap, like not getting appropriate drivers for their hansets and charging the rediculous prices.

To be fair, there is no alternatives for the high-end Wim Mo phones. That is why many people on this forum are getting TP2. Had they had a choice of similar phones with better software and lower price, they would not be saying that. But they do not have a choice! Even Android phones are made by HTC. I sure do hope that other manufacturers, like Toshiba, Microsoft, Motorolla, Palm will start getting into the game. If Iphone were available on Sprint, even though it is not a direct competition to TP, it would make the law of supply and demand work for us. For now, unfortunately, there is not much we can do. We can complain, but there is no reason for HTC to get their software in order and for Sprint to start charging less.

I do know, though, I will not be getting TP2 for this price. This is what we can do - vote with our wallets.

I don't know what you're talking about, but to bring you to speed the tp2 will cost $349 when its said and done with mail in rebates. The tp1 was $299 after mail in rebates, thats only $50.

Edit: i see what you're saying but why would i compare this to a diamond??? I'm comparing this to its predecessor which is the tp1, and between the tp1 and the tp2, thats only $50.
