Telus TP2 - Flash Support in Opera!!

1 Attachment(s)
Well, I stumbled upon this over at XDA, and it's fantastic. It's essentially a plug-in that allows flash to play within the opera browser. WOO!

Follow the Link to awesome flash-y goodness:
(Big thanks to all the folks who put this together! I'm just re-posting your hard work!!)

The only tricky part (not really) was adding in the Telus TP2's UserAgent and UAProf URL. (these make sure the device is recognized properly.) I added this info into the fixoperaflash.ini file.

I've attached the modified FixOperaFlash.ini that you have to copy into your windows folder for it to properly recognize the Telus model.
---just make sure to rename it to fixoperaflash.ini!!

(sorry, T-mo folks, I don't have one of yours to test, but it's not difficult to add in your own settings into the INI)

Until flash support officially comes to WinMo, this'll do quite nicely!

Just tried this out, and I can happily say that homestarrunner.com works nicely in Opera now for me.

Looks like I can uninstall SkyFire now :)

You mentioned adding the Telus TP2's UserAgent and UAProf URL. Is that already been incorporated into this file or does it still have to be done; if so how do you do it

I've installed, and it doesn't really work for me, even after following the steps.

HSR opens, and the flash "plays" (Homestar blinks) but it's tough to actually get into the site by clicking "Come on In" and even once I'm in, most of the links don't work.

I can't get Youtube to play at all, it just hangs.

Is it just me?

Happy to confirm that I'm watching Homestarrunner.com on my TP2. Happy dance! I'm running the 6.5 ROM on my T-Mobile TP2. I did have to do a second soft reset after turning flash on. Running beautifully!

Could this be used to watch sites like hulu.com on our phones? That'd be sweet
